Appointments + Sessions

How do I book an appointment?

Appointments can be booked by calling our office at (346) 337-4307 or using our online booking system. (If you don’t see a day or time that works best for you, give us a call.)

What can I expect during my first appointment?

During your first appointment, a thorough assessment will be conducted to understand your medical history, symptoms, and goals. (Yes, we’ll actually talk through every item on your intake forms!) We’ll also do a physical examination, discuss your treatment plan and educate you on your symptoms and next steps, and build your home exercise plan.

Is pelvic floor therapy painful?

While some discomfort might be experienced, Dr. Jasia aims to minimize pain and ensure treatments are as comfortable as possible. Remember, you’re in control during your session.

How long are therapy sessions?

While some discomfort might be experienced, Dr. Jasia aims to minimize pain and ensure treatments are as comfortable as possible. Remember, you’re in control during your session.

Is pelvic floor therapy painful?

The initial evaluation and treatment session is two hours long. After that, follow-up appointments are 90-minutes long and will cover how you’re doing since your last visit, personalized therapies, and your updated home exercise program.

How many therapy sessions will I need?

At Well Women Physical Therapy, we believe in personalized care, not one-size-fits-all treatments. Every woman is unique, and so is her therapy program. Most of our patients have 4-8 follow-up appointments after their initial evaluation, taking what they’ve learned to continue their recovery journey with empowerment, independence, and confidence in understanding their bodies.

Sessions can be scheduled weekly, every other week, or once a month, and therapy can continue for as long as you feel it’s needed. Many women with chronic conditions find value in long-term therapy to maintain improvements and manage flare-ups. Some reach their goals quickly and feel ready to move on, while others choose to stay with WWPT for ongoing support. The choice is yours!

What do I wear to physical therapy?

Wear what makes you feel comfortable! For exams and therapies, you can change into one of our gowns. (You’ll be surrounded by comfy sheets, too!)

What can I expect at a follow-up session?

Rehabilitation is a journey that takes time, patience, and dedication. At Well Women Physical Therapy, we're here to support you every step of the way! Unlike traditional physical therapy programs that often require 2-3 visits per week for 8-12 weeks, we offer longer, more comprehensive, and personalized one-on-one sessions. This approach allows you to reduce the number and frequency of visits while receiving holistic treatment and education during each session. Our goal is to empower you to become your own healer!

Our follow-up sessions are 90 minutes long, and you will always work directly with Dr. Jasia, your Doctor of Physical Therapy—not a technician. Together, you'll progress your therapy program and determine the best schedule for you, whether that's once a w

No, you do not need a referral. After your first appointment, we’ll send some paperwork over to your primary care doctor for their sign off.
